Based historically on agriculture
and wood working industries, the Stanley workplace has been changing rapidly
since 2002:

Stanley Correctional Institution,
a medium security prison, employs 365 as a stable workforce in various
economic conditions.
Local staff and near - release, minimum security
prisoners from Chippewa have been donors of time,
money and useful items for
local projects.
* Ace Ethanol,
Wisconsin's first large-scale producer of ethanol, employs 40 and is a
financially viable operation.
* Our Lady of
Victory Medical Center was built on a 30-acre campus near Highway 29
and includes a 24-bed inpatient hospital,
surgical suites, outpatient
facilities for kidney dialysis and cardiac rehabilitation, a medical clinic,
Wisconsin certified Level IV Trauma emergency care, pharmacy, cafeteria and
gift/floral shop.

The HOMEPLACE of Stanley is located in historical old hospital
building. This Assisted Living facility offers an array of options from RCAC
Simply Care, Full Service RCAC as well as CBRF Memory and Dementia Care.

Stanley-Boyd Community Pool, which consists of an Olympic

facilities are located at the local High School and are open to the public
at very reasonable fees. Six local parks offer picnic facilities,
playground equipment, ball fields and tennis and basketball courts. An elk
and deer park are located at
Chapman Park.
